Redfin Scholarship

The Redfin scholarship aims to support one student in their pursuit of higher education.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a legal U.S. resident.
  • Must be either a graduating high school senior or a current freshman, sophomore, or junior in college at an accredited university or college.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Criteria: Essays will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • 50%: Thoughtfulness of response
  • 40%: Quality of composition
  • 10%: Grammatical accuracy

Funds: The scholarship provides $2,500.

Duration: The scholarship is awarded for one year.

Number of Awards: Only one student will receive the scholarship.

Application Process: To apply, applicants must respond to the following question in 800 words or less: "When a city's population grows, low-income individuals are often forced to relocate to more affordable areas outside of the city. Many initiatives have been proposed or implemented to maintain affordable housing within city limits. Identify one such initiative and discuss its advantages and disadvantages."

Deadline: The application deadline is August 1.
