To provide incentive, honor and financial assistance for outstanding graduate students in school administration intending to make school super intendancy a career.
Focus -
Educational administration.
Qualifications -
Applicants must be recommended by the chair of the school of education in which the applicants are currently enrolled. Only one application may be submitted from each college or university campus.

Recipients will be selected based on academic performance.

Applicants must submit completed application form available on the website; a declaration of mission consisting of no more than three separate statements (single-spaced, typewritten) addressing the following an account of how you came to be interested in school administration, what you conceive the job of a school superintendent to be, what aspects of it chiefly appeal to you, what type of contribution you would like to make in this field, the particular kind of further training and experience which you believe most essential to your best performance, and how you would apply a scholarship toward achieving your professional goals; a succinct statement of an administrative problem you have already encountered, a description of how you met it, and what, on reflection, you wish you had done about it. If you have had no administrative experience, select a problem in the field of classroom teaching or of student activities or discipline; no more than two paragraphs in which you describe specific instances in your training and experience which highlight your individual strengths and focus on your successes. These paragraphs should help the reader know you as an administrator; also submit a letter of recommendation (one original and five photocopies) from the dean of the school of education where applicants is currently enrolled; and two letters of endorsement.
